Is it me or is Pimp My Ride full of crap?!

Aside of some of the tacky work they do, does anyone else notice how nice some of houses are where the person whos car is getting pimped lives? In NJ, some of these houses would probably be over $500K. And in Cali, I'm sure it can't be that much cheaper. How are people affording these nice *** houses but cannot afford a reliable car?

I wouldn't watch that show if you paid me, so I really don't know. I wouldn't doubt it one bit, MTV is nothing but "reality" TV now.

Ya, I have noticed the same thing, million dollar homes, well dressed people, driving $350 cars. One of the last ones I watched dude had an 03 camery that he had destroyed pretty much. They actually did a pretty nice job with it, and then they put 4 7" dvds ON THE BUMPERS! What a waste, soon as it rains their trash and then you got 4 7 inch holes in your bumper!! And yes MTV does suck (except jackass and wildboys)

They actually had that guy back on the show on the "Where Are They Now" special. Would you believe that guy wrecked the Corolla AGAIN. The bumper was missing, the hood was missing. I couldn't believe it!

I don't think they've been "real" since the first season. There is a post about a Nissan one they did from near the beginning of the show and the guy showed how it was fake.

I always wondered how long them cars lasted after they were built.Stuff get stolen,end up wrecked or maybe even sold.They need to do a follow up show.I loved the bread truck with the 2 MTX Jackhammers in it though

or the interior waterfall, the lcds under by the engine so that he can watch tv while working underneath, the hammoc that pops out of the trunk, the fishtank in the backseat....the list goes on. There is one thing in every episode that is totally crap....I hate that show.

dont forget MTV2 and VH1, i think VH1 plays more music videos than mtv now a days but if its music videos you want to see thats what the internet is for!! i use yahoo music but there are many others that you can try.

MTV2 is mostly music. I would agree though, MTV is pretty much all crap, PMR is just ridiculous. It's all show, and half those cars must be undriveable.

They do all the mods necessary to push people POS cars to crazy psi. Say "We took Joe Schmoe's 1995 ford escort and boosted his car up running at 20psi!" or something like that I would watch. Well at least the first few episodes before it got kind of redundant turbo, s/c, nitrous, turbo, s/c, nitrous and then the combinations maybe 1 or 2 good seasons..
