    Default Swift Part 2!

    Yep. .. that's right. Part 2.

So. .. after running into a brick wall Finding a good ECU for the 90, the amount of work still to do and the amount of oil under the dash covering every electrical component there. . .. we're moving on to Swift Part 2.

1994 GT, RUST FREE, 199,4xx miles, full interior, lowered, newer exhaust and most importantly RUNS AND DRIVES!!! Although with the amount of Ice at home when we got back, I drove it 12 feet from the trailer to the garage.

So. .. what it needs: My better seats, My engine, Koni's(on order), studs and wheels/tires, rear swar bar, main hoop, rear supports and harnesses installed.

That list is about a 1/3 of the list for the other one at this point. I'll be keeping this engine, my trans and my spare shortblock from the other, the ign column I just got amd some other misc pieces for the stuff that WILL crap out down the road. Oh, and I'm using my bumpers. I just don't like the 94 slotted " I wanna be a Testarossa" bumpers.

    Now, on to the pics:

Any other car would've had a hard time fitting on that trailer.

Same here. I like the look of the Swift "GTi" vs. the "GT".

Hey Bob, that's it. I'm moving into your house. We'll have that Swift running in a day, everything switched over. You'll be running it in the snow the next day.

Oh, and I'll need a job at your dealership too!

Are you going to transfer your aftermarket steering wheel over too? Or could you not get it to work properly?

Changed the seats over from the other, cleaned it up. Looks really good, and then when it was time to move it, the starter said No. Good thing the starter on teh other engine is good!

Took it for a spin this morning. Wow. Not at all what I expected. Of course, the toe is WAY off, so is the camber. Somethign about curbs making contact with the left front tire a few weeks back.. . but at 4k rpms in 2nd gear it was bearking thetires loose on dry pavement. I wound it out to 7k once. . . but it has SOOOOO much power in places I'm not used to having power! it's so. . . raw. heavy, accurate steering, heavy brakes, hard suspension. ... This thing is gonna be a beast. I loved every ear shattering second in it today. . . this my friends is gonna be a GREAT year!

Those are two of the ugliest seats I've ever seen. I'm glad you were pleasantly surprised by the power... but how bald must those tires be to chirp at 4k RPMs?

If you want to sell the old Swift, I think you've got me hooked, and I'll take it off your hands. Tax time is right around the corner... Of course, you said something about having to get out of the garage in like a week or something.

Interior looks good on the new one, like the steering wheel and floor mat too.

I guess they were pretty cool in 1994.

Those seats were real Recaro's for the masses. While they are ugly, they are functional and really hold you well. Tires are almost bald, no doubt, but this car is a screamer, much like a honduh vtacky and doesn't come p on the cams until 3500-3800rpms and by 4k pulls hard clear to the 8500rpm self imposed redline.

You know, for a group of hyundai owners, some of you really are getting stuck up.

The second shell will be leaving me in a month or two, and I'm selling it with complete suspension, 4whl discs and all. It'll just be engine/transless. Perfect for an engine swap of your choice.
