Yes! My next plan is installing 15mm wheel spacers angled at 2.5 in the rear on 215/40/17 rims...
    What do you think?
I think next week ill get them installed....Go to fullsize image.jpgSL557351 copy.jpg

you WILL have to roll the fender..this is the exact setup i have now....even with the stiff *** teins (with 215/45's i rubbed...even rolled) but the 215/40 with a -1.5 degrees of camber i'm good to go. puts the wheel pretty much flush (im using the oem tib wheel) so it has a +46 offset.

Well got the 15mm spacers on the rear at a degree of 2.5 on the camber...
there was rubbing at the degree of 2.0 but at 2.5 the ride feels good no rubbing.....

2.5 is quite extreme...you WILL be going through tires.

This. I get a little higher wear on 1.5 up front.... and I push them harder.

I really love the look (check out some other rides) and happy with the feel...
I guess my tires will wear out quicker than before, iv had my tires for 3 years and with another 2 years to go (NEXEN tires)...
But im actually looking forward to changing my tires from 215/40/17"h to 215/45/17"w then maybe i will change my camber setting to 2.0....

    Looks good only1db......
our elantra's maximum camber angling is -1.7 or -1.8..........however changing the camber bolts you can go further negative, but looks good.
what tires did you have before 215/45/17 H or W or Y???

Z rated...rating is not really going to matter...its how tall the tires are, i would rub when i was going slow or fast. All i had to do is a hit a bump too fast or with people in the car and scrap.

and with the smart arms i can go all the way out to -3...im only halfway...maybe.

H or W or Y tires is related to speed but also to design as the tires curves in not straight up.
I had W before =no problem, now I have H =problem sometimes rub even when after rolling the fenders....

Before buying my new tires in the near future 215/45/17 W i will ask for sample tires, see if they rub, if they do rub then I might go for 205/45/17 W and have the rim of the rims sticking out....
