Recently I changed the spark plugs and spark plug wires of my '03 Elantra. When I replaced the spark plugs, I used di-electric grease on the new plug threads according to the advice to prevent them from sticking to the engine.
When it is time to replace the spark plug wires, it started to rain. So I was in a hurry and I didn't have time to apply grease on the spark plug wire boots and I just replaced without grease. A couple of days later, I tried to remove the wires from the plugs, but they were already stuck and I couldn't pull them out. If I force, I would damage the new wires.
Probably I need to leave them for another 60,00 miles until it is time to change again. At that time I may have to break the wires to pull them out. What do you think?
