Default Cabin Filter - Arrow up or down?

I recently picked up a purolator cabin filter and there is an arrow directing which way the flow is supposed to go. My question is, should that arrow point up or down when the filter is installed?

Did you take the old filter out yet? I would think the old one would have an arrow on it too.

No, air is pulled from the cowl vents (at the base of the windshield). The passes through the filter and then the blower motor (under the filter) pushes it to the center of the car where the heater core and A/C evaporator are loceted and then up into the vents.

If you have an actual Hyundai filter, you'll notice the words/symbols are right-way-up when the arrow points down. (Plus HMA service says down).

hehe, well I haven't had a chance to open it up but it won't matter because there is no guarantee I put it in the correct way the last time, so I figure I better ask the pros!

Not all Elantra's came with a Cabin filter.
