Looking very good. You'll need to get us some night time pictures of the HIDs.

That engine bay is very clean. You haven't been here long enough to know that mine is the exact OPPOSITE. It's never been cleaned once.

Right, i was driving home from work, airco on, all of the sudden i got this 15cm/6" crack in my windshield.
Had some stone damage right under my wiper, that cracked upward.
Meaning I'm getting a new windshield this thursday.
Thank god the insurance pays for eveything

All of the sudden it's 35 degrees celsius (95 fahrenheit?) here for 2 days, so i guess the temperature difference killed it with the cold airco on the inside.

Also, i still have these old tibby wheels laying around (16"):

They have quite the curb damage and the paint is really crap. I think one is a bit crooked as well.
Could get them straghtened and powdercoated. Any thoughts? Or just go for some new ones?
I was thinking of maybe using these and fix them up a bit myself (sand them down and weld the edges up if neccessary, bit of wheelpaint...).
At least got some alloys then, and can look for new wheels, and use this for the wintertime (salty roads!).

Looking good so far(je laat er geen gras over groeien :P)

Put this rims on until you get new ones, they aren't the right ones for an elantra.
And yeah, nice weather here, pffff

A friend of mine pointed out an ebay auction he came across with a set of brand new 17" alloy wheels that should fit the elantra (4x114.3, et38, 7.5J).
I bid and won 4 new 17" wheels voor €98,08... wich is about $140 :P

I just dropped the car off for a nwe windshield. Hopefully it's done by the end of the day...

Once i get the wheels in i'm going shopping for some good new tires. Got some good deals with the tire shops around my area, buy 4 michelin's and 1 is free etc.

It's going really fast now. Picked up my car with the new windshield, and got home to find a package with the aluminum pedals, and the chrome/clear side repeaters!

Side repeaters are a quick fix, so placed them right away:

Got the pedals in as well, except for the gas pedal wich is a different shape. So i need to figur out how to put it on, but it'll get in there eventually.
Didn't have time to take pictures of it, but when the gas pedal is in i will be sure to make some.

You mean the ones with the clear indicator? I was thinking about doing the DIY on the originals.
On the pedal: Did you feed the zipties in between the metal and the rubber so you won't see them?

Im gon' start on the speakers this weekend.
But as it turned out the tweeters of the comp. set might be fuxored.
So i might just only place the woofer and leave the tweeters as original and think of something later.
Will start on the back speakers first anyway, so at least gonna try to get those in.

Yeah, in order for the gas pedal to work you need to get a 2001-2003 pedal assembly. It shouldn't be too hard to get one from a junkyard maybe (of course I don't know how they work over there).

I got the rear 6x9's in today.
Wat a pain in the *** to get them in, removing the backseat and all.
Been at it all day. But they are in (4 cuts in my fingers later lol).

Everything fitted back in, so it looks stock again. Untill you turn on the radio :P.
Tomorrow i will try to put in the front ones. At least the woofers, since 1 tweeter is still fuxored.

But even the butterfly's like my car now:

Since the old radio had no usb or whatever, i build in an extension to put on the ip-bus of the radio:

Build this in the dash cabinet. Ran the wires from the radio through the back, so you won't see them. Still need to make some velcro or something like it in the cabinet so it won't move. But now I can get a USB stick in there with music, so all the cd's are out.
Will try and post some pics of it soon. I'm still thinking of making an extension cable and getting it somewhere in the dash to come out. But i'm looking for a good place.

Last weekend i've placed the doorwoofers. The tweeters are dead as can be unfortunately, but it souds a lot better with just the woofers anyway.
Maybe i'll try to get some new tweeters later on, but for now it'll do.
No pictures tho, forgot to do that. Was kinda of a fast job anyhow.

Did had a change to polish the car, got rid of some small scratches. Couldn't net everything out, but looks a lot better than what the dealership was able to do :P.

Probably will do the interior somewhere this week.
