Needing advice/recommendations on starting to mod my 2002 GLS.

I have a 2002 GLS with an '03 2.0 DOHC. What kind of mods should I start off with given my scenario?

I'm not poor but not rich.
I am a mechanic with access to all amenities and tools of our full-service shop.
I'm not extremely experienced due to my age deficiency... (17)
The car has only 81xxx, and the motor is about the same.
The car is 100% stock and ready for just about anything.

My only adaptation to the car has been the installation of a head-unit and a pair of coaxial door-speakers.

what kind of money are you looking to spend there are lots of look's mods that are well under $50 then you can get into handling bout $100 on up then there is rim's and tires and so on.

IMO the first mod you should do is the 19mm sway bar if you like to turn at all.

Then go nuts with some bolt on stuff? However, do not expect a race car after doing a bunch of bolt on stuff. It will sound a lot better with more response but if you want real power out of these things:

yeah, intake is an easy cheap thing to do also

Suspension:
1. 19mm Swaybar from the Tiburon
2. Springs and Struts (I personally liked Eibach Springs on my 2002)
3. Wheels and Tires

Engine:
1. Intake
anything more than this is not going to yield much. Some people say exhaust, but you don't get a whole lot out of it, and making the Elantra try to sound like a Mustang is lame.

Audio:
Sky is the limit, but big subwoofer boxes weigh a lot in the back of the car.
