Back to my car, this is what I've been doing while away for a bit. Came out to the car to find these in the back seat as a birthday gift.




So excited. Granted, they are used and I have to fix the sub face and reupholster it, but all in all I'm very happy.

Since I recieved these, I decided it was time to upgrade the headunit and run the wires for everything as there was no point in having the subs and amp in the back not hooked up. Or to have them hooked up to the OEM unit. Hahaha, so I went out, bought the wiring, harnesses, dash kit, and a Pioneer deck that suited my needs (and it was on sale, which was awesome).


What took the longest was getting the power line through the firewall, but after that things were easier.

Not the easiest thing I've ever done, but I became more intimate with my car than I had been before.

I do plan on cleaning up everything soon, I'm just having a hard time finding time to do much of anything. It took me three days to change the radio fuse when it blew.

Now if anyone could tell me why my cluster lights/A/C lights/shifter lights won't work, it'd be super. Hahaha!

Also, on the done list, tinting my taillights. FINALLY. (Excuse the dirtbike, I pulled the car into the garage because it was raining.)

Here they are in the sun (letting them dry out a bit before I trimmed it up).

My car looks like a gunmetal gray color. Detailing the car is going to be a horrible job.
I took these at work to be able to see how well he tails blend into the car now.





The last things to do before the meet, besides washing the car (ugh) is repainting the steelies. They're peeling a bit.

It sure sounds like the easy problem would be that the harness for the dimmer switch is not properly seated. I can't remember how many times I put my dash back on and forgot to do that, only to not realize it until night came and I had no lights.

I hope you ran ur powerr wire through the rubber grommet at the bottom of the firewall instead of drilling...... looks good keep up the good work.

I've checked the dimmer switch plug in plenty of times, but ill do it again soon.

And as for the power wire, I did run it through the grommet, no drilling at all. So were good. (:

Have you also gone through and checked out the fuses? Have you replaced the lighting fuse, even if it didn't look blown?

Yes, I've changed fuses 25, 9, 6, 7, and a few others. It's not just those lights that are out. My left sidemarker is not working, as well as my left drl.

It almost sounds like a ground wire problem. There is a ground that comes from the left headlight that attaches to the chassis near the little air intake elbow that gave me problems. If that nut that attaches it to the chassis isn't fully tighten, it would cause a problem with some of the electronics, though my problem was the headlights didn't turn on (only daytime running lights) and the blinkers were in hyper mode. I guess you could check some of the ground points to see if they are fully tighten?
