    Question Should i keep it?

Well as title says i`m trying to decide whether i should keep my car or not
As you guys are probably aware i had it up on ebay for sale but to no avail - expected it really as who really would buy a car like this just over ebay without seeing first hand

I have been thinking of getting rid of Elantra to make way for new sports bike, probably something like a Suzuki GSX-R 600, Yamaha R6 or Triumph Daytona 600

I was going to buy a cheap run around for the rainy days when the bike would stay locked up in shed

But on other side i have fair bit of stuff sitting here that has not yet even been fitted to car like - Tiburon multiguages, BROS multiguage covers, stainless steel braided brake lines, INJEN cold air intake system, HUGE Alpine stereo system etc etc etc - which maybe might renew interest in car if i spent some time on it

Really what it comes down to is that i have lost interest in the Hyundai at this point of time and am wondering if it is really worth spending all this money on??

Just to refresh ya memory here is pic of my car

So pretty much what i'm asking is - What do you guys HONESTLY think i should do?

    HAHA - lol

I am new to road bikes though and think i would meet a timely demise on something that big

Last bike i owned was when i was round 14 or 15 so that's a DAMN long time and i will need to edge myself back into it

That is pretty funny, I am doing the same thing (looking at getting a bike). Everyone I have talked to has also said not to get the 600's for the same reason you will get bored with it after 6 months. I have to wait until I buy the new house though, because buying a bike hurts your beacon rating (considered a luxury item). I also have not rode a bike since I was 13-14 (20+ years ago). I highly recommend going thru a MSF approved course (I took the 'Riders Edge' at Harley Davidson), it was well worth the money.

Back on topic, not sure how much you were asking for your XD, but if you want to sell it, try putting it in an Auto Trader, I have had great luck with that.

Frankly, Hyundais just do not get good resale value. To get rid of it at this point would be really stupid, from a financial stand point. I just put a nice DIY up for the multigauges, it'll take you an hour or two, maybe three or four, but it's another attractive option for your car. Don't let a short attention span get the best of you

I would atleast install the CAI. You should get some additional zap in the car, and may get interested in it again. For me, I have to have some kind of car to get around in. I have had many bikes, but my current one is probably the best, a 2001 Yamaha FZ1. (Although I did really like a 1990 ZX11, or ZZR1100 in your part of the world.) Personally I think the xd is a heck of a car for the money. To get equal, or slightly better performance, I would have to spend about twice what I spent on the xd - I'm thinking here of the Mazda6 v6, or new Pontiac G6.) So for me the xd is a bargain. Try to ride a Fz1 before you make up your mind. You can get a used FZ1 for around $5,000 US - not sure how that translates to Australian money.

Good luck. You DO have a good car.

I'm thinking of selling my Elantra too. I have lost interest in it.It has only travelled 19,200km's --- but then again what would I do if I sold it
There is a local car show here on the 23rd of Jan, and I don't think I will be entering it. I've just lost all interest in it
