    I see i see...
Okay, I understand the Gain leveling now. But confused with the gauge wiring diagram..

also, did he say turn everything down to 0 EXCEPT "low past filter all the way up"?
    Just making sure.

I guess i'll have to go get a meter like that

Would i need this because i'm already at a 4'' gauge wire? http://www.amazon.com/KnuKonceptz-KC.../ref=pd_cp_e_1

Yea, all enhancements off. low filter up. This disables all settings that "alter" the sound. Any AC volt meter will work. He's using a fluke with the premium lead set, which is pretty expensive but highly accurate. Cheap meters will work too.

Yea, if you already have 4 gauge wire now, no need to downgrade to 8. I'm understanding that right? You already have 4 gauge? But then you want another wiring kit? I might have this backwards. LOL

well, 4 guage wire is what my system is hooked up on. from what i understand..(still very confused on what that wire is...i have one fat blue wire that runs from my battery with the fuse, and one fat white wire that runs to the ...radio?)

How will i install this cap? with what wires? lmao that's what i mean XD

Fat white wire from your head unit? A 4 gauge?

I like the first amp kit you linked better.

The chart shows in relation, wattage and length of run. So 4 gauge wire running 500w is only good up to XX feet, any longer you'll need larger wire.

The capacitor hooks as close to the amp as you can get it. Take the power wires going into the amp and run them into the cap, then from the cap to the amp. It goes in-between the amp and battery.

Okay, so : battery - and + to the capp : cap + and - to the amp.

    good?

The white ones are the RCA, those are right. That's the audio signal from the HU. The amplifier is "amplifying" the signal given on those wires. That's where the music comes into the amp.

You'd take the blue on Battery and go to the Cap's + post. Then add a wire from the Caps + post, go to the amp. Take the white on GND and put it on the cap's - then from there add a wire from the cap's - to the GND on the amp. Or you could do the amp and cap with separate ground wires to the chassis, either way.

You won't need an entire wiring kit to add the cap in. Unless you just want it to have extra laying around just incase. You can use extra wire you have, if you saved it from the amp install. Or if the wire in the car has extra, you can cut enough of the excess off to make the connection. Anything that is wired it's good to keep the wires short, but don't make it too tight, leave some play for working on it it.

i got all this from my friend, this is all i have. (that's why i didn't know what gauge this was)

I understand what you mean by cutting everything in half basically. and just slipping the capp in. but hm...seems like bleh work hahaha. But smart way fro saving eh...

I'd still need the connectors though.

Yea, you'd need the connectors. Looks like 4. The wire will have it written on it. I doubt it will be anything other than 4 or 8. I'm leaning more towards 4.

Makes sense! thanks man!!! I will see if simply fixing the gain might fix the light thing..maybe its even just a wire connection problem with that little light...who knows.
