Default 05' Silver Hatchback (3 options)... Which one would you choose?

    Hey guys,

If you were purchasing a 2005 elantra hatchback (they're all 5 speed manuals and silver) which one would you choose? They're all sold by the same dealer. I haven't got a chance to go check them out yet but they all look equally clean.

    a) GS Trim, $3832 USD, 87'613 miles

    b) GL Trim, $ 3881 USD, 93'827 miles

    c) GT Trim (sunroof, sport tuned suspension?, no leather seats though), $3587 USD, 123'653 miles

    Thanks,

    Andrew

The one in the best shape which looks like it has been looked after + any maintenance records (especially timing belt change)
    Nothing special to put here.

GT because you have ABS, disc brakes, strange leather, tweeters, black trim, blue gauges, floor mats that say gt, thicker sway bar, and a spoiler.

It's a hyundai these things are supposed to go forever if looked after properly.
They ran over my car, quite literally.

    ^ ^ ^ agree with avantegt

I forgot about the ABS etc. In Canada the GT Hatch doesn't come standard with a spoiler. mine does not have one and it is the "Premium" edition

I think both the GL & GS are the same car (GLS).

I'd say the GT if it looks like it's been taken care of. I'd also have a mechanic check things like the CV Joints. Also pay attention to idle, particularly if it is stopped and in drive. Motor mounts on Elantras will go out about every 100k-125k miles on average. CV Joints will usually last you 100k miles or so. No problem with the Elantra really, it's just that hardware goes out after being used for a long time. Good luck!
