ok well first welcome to the boards. Next, XD is the platform or body style in which the elantra is based around. GT has sport tuned suspension and all round discs, the VE is the Canadian version of the American GLS (I think). As for the CAI take a look through the Naturally Aspirated forum there is a bunch of stuff there.
Do the North American GTs also come with a front strut bar?
'04 Avante XD Racing, OEM F strut bar, Kspec R strut bar, painted calipers, painted Engine cover, TWM shifter, GRX blue and red ground wire kit, 19.2 Tuscani stabilizer bar, Kumho Ecsta MX tires
don't think mine has one![]()
I know on the XDs they were not standard, I can't say about the XD2's.Originally Posted by Mr. Dan
Strut bars are not standard on xd2's. No matter which intake you go with, you are going to have to cut a section out to fit in your MAF. Its circled in red in this pic. I used a 96 civic SRI for mine.
I am not sure, but you may be able to use the Injen intake for the '04 Tib V6. It has been used on the I4 Tibby, which uses the XD2's engine. OPnly problem is pipe length. The engine bay is the exact same, but the length is like a 6" diff. This is what has stopped me from doing this. There is a pic of it on here somewhere.
EDIT:Nevermind, I just searched around for ya, and found that my option will deffinately not work according to Fixer. Either wait for the CAI he is doing a GB for, or just chop a section for the MAF from an accord.
