so look i have heard that you can get some horse power by installing a 1.8l cam in a 2.0l motor is there any truth to this, if so please explain.

if you have the 99-2000 Elantra/tiburon I4 you can install the intake cam off of the 96-98 1.8 liter engine, which I have read will give 2 horsepower/4 lbs of torque (been over a year since I visited the site...It was run by a guy named Brendan (Elantrazone) who was smewhat active on Hyundai performance. Search for Elantrazone and you should find it.

If you mean swapping into the beta II motor (01+) I don't think that is possible or even functional. I could be wrong.

The 1.8 intake cam has a bigger duration then the 2.0 intake, you get some good overall power in the midrange. I have one installed. The difference was there, it is a good mod for $100. You really need to visit over rdtiburon.com more often as they are they mecca for betaI info.

That was one of the mods I wish I would have done with my old j2 but never did have the time/cashola for.

so if the 18l intake cam has better der then would the exaust cam hav a better profile to.
