: Aftermarket for 2007?

So with the new 2007 Elantra out, what is the aftermarket for this car going to be like? Does anyone have any real pictures of this car tricked out? Is there anything out there for this car as of now?

i think it would be a bit early for any real after market parts out...........but there surely will be people working on it...

at least engine wise it is basically the same (Other than power steering) so you should have no problems there... and exhaust you should be able to get made anywhere just get some good headers to suit an XD2

yeah, having the same engine may suck for some things, but at least what limited aftermarket support we have will already be in place for this.

Hotshot headers are pretty good yet, and exhausts can be custom made.

beeman is right, it's a little too early yet. Although it's been out in Korea for 4-5 months it's still too early. Once it hits the 1 year mark in Korea I'd imagine to see lots of stuff popping up. At SEMA they have one with a bodykit, but who knows if it'll be one that you can buy (some of us remember the APC kit that a SEMA XD had on it that never came out).

It will probably be similar to the XD. They came out in '01, I got mine in summer 02, and there were only a few things available for it (not that there ever was a ton of aftermarket for the XD). By 03 there were a moderate amount of things available.

However the new HD owners get to go through the fun that we had a few years ago - pioneering modifications, figuring out how the car reacts to certain mods, and such. That was the best part of modding the car back then, IMO.

The a/m issue still is up in the air. The car is still new.

I did install my amp in the HD yesterday. Took 5 hours. The CAN system is VERY picky.
