: Car whistles over 70 MPH

When im on the hiway and going over 70 mph my car makes a whislteing sound. sometimes when i move the window down and then back up it stops and sometimes comes back. does anyone have this problem or know of a solution. Thanks in advance

It only hapens to me if I didn't close the window all the way, as in any car.

There was a TSB on this problem. The weather stripping was bad on a lot of XD's. You should be able to get this fixed under warranty.

i'm with swortham...i've heard about that problem a while back. talk to the dealer and let us know how it goes. btw TSB stands for technical service buletin if you didn't know and welcome to the site

It will get fixed. What they do is install a stiffer piece of weather stripping. It may make the door a little harder to close, but it will cut out the howling.

just got the weather stripping done. took care of my howling, also have them check both sides. (passenger, drivers side) one might be gone and the other on its way there. VERY COMMON PROBLEM.
