: [MD/UD] Removing top front grill?

Has anybody removed the top front grill yet? My fake chrome already has a few little rock chips so I would like to paint it. When I removed the top plastic cover it appears that the grill is a separate piece but requires removal of the front bumper to remove. Do I really have to remove the front bumper to get the grill off?

Per another forum I was informed that the front bumper must be removed to remove the top grill. I am told its easy so I will give it a shot next weekend.

If you want to take some pictures of the process I'm sure that'd be great for your fellow UD/MDers.

Yes I will take some pics, it will give me something to do labor day weekend. Planning to use black plastidip spray over the chrome wings. Will probably leave the Hyundai emblem chrome, I kind of like it.

bogeywindell thanks for the info, do you happen to know if the chrome accent pieces on the front grill are removable? I just assumed the grill must be removed but I really only want to paint over the chrome.
