: [MD/UD] Dipped bumper and rear diffuser

11-26-2012, 12:34 PM
Had some leftover plastidip and decided to experiment with the bumper and imitate a rear diffuser. The rear diffuser is not that clean but the beauty of plastidip is I can peel it off and redo it as many times as I want, and if I don't like the look anymore I could peel it right off. :D
Bottom chrome grille was dipped a few weeks ago.

Not sure how I feel about the black horizontal bar on the front bumper. Other than that, looks great.

I would think that the Sonata Hybrid badge would look sick on the back of the car. The H with the cool blue reflective stuff on it.

Those yellow fog lights look great too. All of the subtle things on this car make it look extremely good!

Looks great... I was wanting to buy some plasti dip.... How much does one can last? And does it scratch easily or peal off easily....
I want to do my roof and do a rear diffuser look.....

$6.95 USD on their website.

Been on mine for about a year now, still looks pretty good. It peels off when you try to take it off, otherwise it should last through car washes, snow, ice, heat, and everything else.

I may do something similar with mine... I want to paint the body colour mid and upper section of the middle gunmetal grey... BUT, I also thought, hey... Maybe I should wait until I get some rims and match the colour to the rims to get a theme going... Why you ask? I scratched the paint with a screwdriver whilst putting plate covers on :(
