When you get to feed your wire through can you take some pictures and post them? The DIY is nice but its not so detail....

on the floor of the passenger side high up in the foot area there is alot of space and there is a hole 1" I think only in the internal wall and u have to drill in the outer but I did this for my 0 guage wire and siliconed it after and it worked great. no leaks!

Why not use the unused gromet near the wheel well then, Mtvslick? No reason to drill a hole if it is not neccessary. Soon had a smaller wire from a pre amp he needed to run so the firewall was the ideal location.

yeah, the unused grommet by the mudflap (wheel well) is the way to go. more stealth looking than running a fat cable through that plastic cap...

Can someone please post pics of this wheel well grommet that all you guys are talking about... and how to access it... i still cant find it :(

i don't have pics, but you have to remove the fender well liner. this means removing the three bolts holding the mudflap (if equipped) and all those plastic butterfly screws that hold the liner on. actually you don't have to remove ALL of them, you can leave the ones in the front of the liner on. then pull the liner down and out from the fender, starting from the rear. you will see the grommet in the a-pillar once you remove the liner. the power wire can run from the battery terminal into the fender well via an opening to the left of the battery. then run the wire back along the inside fender, snap tieing it to the existing harness. run the wire down and into the grommet (drill a hole in the grommet). then inside the car, remove the driver's kick panel. there will be a bunch of about four harness connectors all organized into a recessed "cup" that is screwed into the inner rocker panel. unbolt the bolt holding the cup in place and pull it out. reach in with a flashlight and you will see the wire coming into the rocker panel via the grommet.

it's more work than going through the firewall, but it's nicer! good luck!

I just ran it though that middle whole in the firewall behind that black plastic hell box. I never saw any bolts, but I did see zip ties. I just cut a few and pried it open. It was harder than hell, but after I finally fished it though the rest was a piece of cake. I actually have to put in new wire, 4AWG or less. I am hoping I can just use the old wire to sneak the new stuff in. We'll see.

This would be good only if i can get the wire running to the glove box.

no man, i ran my 4AWG to the trunk this way, and it is the best.
