Purchased Oct 2001 with 14 miles on it and have about 20,600 miles on it. Just don't have the need to drive all that far and can't afford to take any roadtrips right now. Though I need to get some serious miles put on it in the next year and a half to make sure if anything breaks, I can get it replaced under warranty. Only things replaced are a leaky wheel cylinder and front brake pads that were peeling away from the backing.

that's the highest mileage I've head of on a XD..... If I hadn't quit my old job the first of the year, I'd be in that neighborhood.... probably around 130k or so.... but thankfully I don't drive that much anymore....

47,500m purchased on 9-30-03 (I got a DAMN good deal on it!) with 8 miles on it from me test driving it. Out of commission for 3 months because of the freakin dealership in Seekonk taking their time and letting my car get broken in to (Yeah, not to happy about that one). But its all good because that was in January '04. Anyway I can't say that I've had any problems! I plan on keeping it until, well, I need to get a new one!

~Keegan

EDIT: Out of commission for 3 months because of an accident, sorry about that. Yeah thats not a typo, it took them 3 MONTHS to fix a little bit of front end damage.

Since I moved, I don't put many miles on my cars - especially the Elantra since it's my to-work-and-back car (7miles). I've got 44K on the '02 Elantra, and 24K on the '04 Santa Fe. Since I moved, my cars come due for oil changes by time, rather than miles (3 months goes by and less than 3,000 miles on the cars).

my 03' only has 22,000......and she still looks brand new.

I actually got into a heated debate when the dealer was not willing to do some simple warentee work with missing rubber stoppers for the hood and doors & whatnot when he said my car had been 'repainted"...and the paint shop forgot to put them back on. ......to which I assured him it had not been repainted..

The dumb chit later admitted that it was not only the nice paint....bu the fact that my 03 had triple hole washer nozels.....so he thought a paint shop repainted my car and added them.

I cannot stress it enough .........rinse your car for a good 30 minutes prior to washing/scrubbing with soap. The more time you spend rinsing, the better the clear coat will look for years to come.

I'm gonna roll 47,000 on my '04 tomorrow while running errands. I'm already saving for my 60,000 service. I've had something replaced in the front end that was making a creaking noise, the upper portion of the driver's seat was replaced because of a broken lumbar support, one spark plug was replaced because of a cracked insulator, and replaced the weatherstipping on the driver's door, all under warranty and that's been it so far. Still on the original brakes, too. Overall, it's been a pretty good car. The scheduled service is a bit spendy though ... I wish the car had a timing chain instead of a belt.

I just remembered, I'm on my fourth set of headlights. My Elantra seems to think they are candy.

Going in for the 60k miles service soon  so it's going to the dealer.
And I need new rear wheel bearings, and I'm going to see if they will finally fix that rattling strut. It's been bad since the car had about 1500 miles.
Thank god I bought the extended warranty.
Three more payments, and I think I'm going to drive it until it has about 120k, or keep it for my first born to drive

Just hit 79K coming back from Indy this weekend. This car will last forever. If it doesn't, it won't be from over-use.

Over the 8 years I've owned it, I am averaging just barely 10,000 miles per year. That was before I moved. Now I'm driving it like 5,000 miles a year.

Mike, you and I have the lowest mileage 2002 GLSs I'd say. I just went over 90K last week (need to go get service).

Bought mine last May, brand new. It has about 15k on it now. And by this time next year it should have about 45k+ because I will be doing alot of driving all over the country...including attending more meets.

My little lady has about 89,000 on it now. I have a 2004 dark blue GLS 5-speed, got it brand new with 4 miles on it. As of next month, she will have had every body panel replaced due to accidents, save the roof. Deer ran head first into my driver's side (2 new doors, bumper, quarter panel, windshield), got his twice while parked (two new passenger side doors, front quarter panel, then the rear driver quarter panel, tail light, trunk and rear bumper) and after hitting a pothole about 9 inches deep after an Iowa winter from hell, I had to replace the rear suspension and now the quarter panel that the collapsed strut crushed. Other than that... just brakes and standard maintenance. Hopefully no issues for the next 4 years. I want to make it to 140,000!!

Holy crap that's ton of miles you guy's have. I'm pretty sure my car will never see that much mileage as long as I own it. I'm averaging about 4,500 miles a year so far in the seven years I've owned my car. So if I keep my car another 30 years I'll have 170,000. Not gonna happen lol. I'd be 55 years old still driving a car that I bought when I was 18.
