    Default Teins are stuck....

so raise the car for the winter....i'm still lowered like an inche an half...but that is a dramatic raise considering it was lowerd about 2.75 inches...so i do all the springs...i get to the right front...and the thing is not budging!! the lock is free but the actual perch for the springs is stuck...i even took it out of the car and cleaned them off and hosed it down....with no luck...my only conclusion is that somehow the threads are off...which doesnt make sense if the others were fine....or the salt seized it....i really dont now so for now i'm stuck with what looks like an eibach drop....NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOO.

i guess the good thing is that i really dont have to worry about scrapping anywhere and the driveability increased...but i want it back down to where it was....i wonder if they sell just individual coils? i looked on ebay and they have it for 1400....and i'm not shelling that out again...this would have been the last time i would have had to raise and lower it too...no need to raise it while in florida!!! i'm pissed...this might be something i have to live with...

i pretty positive that these things were servicable like the B&gs....i just have to find out where and how

yup...even tapping on them with a rubber mallet to try and free it up...i had to do that with the others as well...just give a little smack with the rubber mallet...but they freed up real quick.

i'm definetly lower than stock...but on the highway when the car is slammed and the front spoiler on there...the car is very steady...nice and strong...it doesnt feel that way now...probably because i need an alignment and some new tires...

If you send it to Tein, the repair costs $25.00 for the frozen/ceased spring seat.

Send them an email for a quote/repair info.

why?? they are rebuildable and will last forever...and besides they will all be fixed up from all the crappy winters they have been through and they will be good as new for warm florida weather!!!

just have to figure out how to ship them to them....that should be the easy part...

oh i went back to my old place (2 years have past) and i went back into the mutual basement...and guess what was still there...i thought for sure they would have been thrown out....my stock suspension...i forgot them in the move...and i now have them again...so i can take out the teins and replace with the stock suspension...which is almost new...25k or so on them....

Sounds like the road I just went down...except B&G lied to me, no Penske facility can fix my ish! Better luck to you bro. Question though, did the camber plates come with your teins or are they extra?

came with it...here is the thing...you have to switch the left with the right...right?? well the plates come off and you can just switch them for the extra camber...the only thing is the metal peice on the strut housing where you would connect the sway bar in the tib is on the inside and almost touches the brake line...so any more camber than 1.2 might rub the lines...which is not good...granted it would only rub when the wheel is locked at 2.5 turns...but still not at good scenario...but if you just chop them off you can use the camber plates to the fullest...
