If it runs a 1/4 mile at 150 mph, and has a long enough stretch to get that extra 50 mph, i'd belive it. Just imagine if he put some nitrous on that thing also.

doohickey - believe what you want. i have posted videos of him running 10.48 1/4 mile at 152mph in 4th gear. theres also pics in the other thread...do a search for "colt" and youll see everything. the car was a ****ing beast. no less

It could be true, evan. I just refuse to believe it. My mind can't stretch itself around the concept of a Colt doing NASCAR speeds. And if it did, that's probably why it crashed. It's one thing to make a car go fast; it's another to have control of the car at that speed.

i can say that this is one FWD that NEEDED a wing. he said that the rear end of the car broke loose which caused the crash
im failing to realize why you dont think its possible to hit something like what he did. ive posted videos of it at the track. did you not watch it? not like its a stock colt. it dyno'd 700+ whp at 34psi, fully caged, runs a 1/4 mile at 150+ mph ending in 4th gear. he still had all of 5th gear.
the car is running a fully built 4g63t motor (ie: same motor in dsm's 91-99 and the current evos) with a (i believe) gt3571 turbo. its the definition of a sleeper

How can people be so absent minded and not believe that it could hit 200 mph 4g63s have so much potential expecially when its in a colt that weighs alot less then the DSMs they came in! here is a link to a talon which has the same motor and is running 7s in the 1/4 at 179 mph. With a good enough stretch of road that colt probably wouldve climbed even higher then 200 mph.

Fortunately for him he was able to walk away from the crash. There is a bloody good reason F1 cars look nothing like a dodge colt. Only a fool would try to go that fast in a car like that.
