This is a good post for those who don't know. Also, if you have TPS sensors in the wheels, especially never use metal. You should use the gray plastic caps that have the little black gasket inside them.
I bought a bag of 100 for like $5 and never have to worry about needing one ever again.
I've used them for a while too without issue yet but I do check tire pressure regularly ( outside temp changes ect. ) . I can see the point with TPS sensors though none of my current cars have them.
i use the plastic green ones the tire shop put on, i have used the metal ones and had to cut my stems off (even with a silicone based grease/anti-seize they still suck nuts and seize up)
yea just like if u get new tires most likely like where i work they put new stems in. the plastic cap it comes with is perfect and durable no seizing. if u can find custom caps with plastic threads on the inside thats pretty cool ik some people do that. just make sure it is plastic threads tho
I just bought the cheapest valve caps I could find , The black plastic ones .
I had set of aluminum ones but someone stole the all 4 twice !! .
