The emergency brake cable got stuck on my GF's 2005 hyundai elantra. I think there is one for each rear brake. The drivers side would not budge. The cable is completely stuck. I yanked on the back of the cable, and it exposed the wire and a bunch of rust. So I cut the cable. It's super rusted. Going into where the cable goes, there is a 3/4 in peace that the cable went though. Thats rusty as well. How do I get that off so I can put a new grommet in. I dont want to run a new cable through a rusty hole. Does this piece come out... Here is a pic of the cable from another post.. im talking the other side.. does it pop out?
