Hey all, new to the forum and its late so I apologize if this is a redundant question. I did some reading (here) earlier trying to see if I could put in fog lights on my new gls, only found info on older models, its a gorgeous car upgraded from an 01 accent GS lol, and at first the thought never crossed my mind. But now that its mine, the plastic filler just doesn't...mesh. Soo my question is, is the '11 already wired for fog lights? And if not...do I bother? Thanks!

Also I dunno which prefixes mean what so apologies if I'm way off lol. I'll figure it out when I'm not falling asleep :)

Welcome sypher704!

Nope, new car, new question.

I would think that the wiring is there, but it's hard to say with Hyundai. Sounds like it's up to you to take a look. Remove the plastic piece and see what happens. If not, adding the wiring shouldn't be too hard, many people have done it over the years to install the OEM foglights. And because the hole for the foglights is so different, I think going OEM is the only way to go (if you want it to look good).

thanks for the welcome, and yea as soon as i have a nice day ill dive head first into that. and hey if you don't mind, im looking for an opinion here on something else; i love the stock look of my car, but i've been contemplating a spoiler (not a specific one, just the idea) like a smaller one, something sleek, akin to what the genesis coupe often has...but i think the tail end of the new elantras is so high up a spoiler may not work...has anyone seen one with a spoiler yet? and if so.....does it look good?

absolutely want the factory bulbs, i like them plenty, i went to pick up my plates (finally) today and asked the guy in the parts department if it was wired or not. he quite confidently said no, and that hyundai isnt wiring any car, sonata, elantra, santa fe, etc, for fogs unless theyre installed, and that he didnt even have the kits, a third party would come install em for about 200 with the column switch and everything though...so yea. no wiring. but hey it could be a nice summer project idk lol. also, thanks for the quick welcome response :)

Actually the lack of fog lights on the GLS is what convinced me to upgrade to the Limited..... and here I sit and wait for my new car to arrive. (Could have already been driving a GLS.) Oh well, I'm sure I will be happy with it and I'm sure it will be worth the wait.
