I remember hearing rumour few months back that Hyundai were looking at putting a 6 speed into the Elantra
Has anyone heard anymore about this?
Is it or will it happen?

doesn anyone know if the GT Tibby's 6 speed Trany will fit the Elantra's or has anyone tryed lining them up to see if it will fit are car's.

They are putting 6spds on the Betas in Korea.
Good luck getting one though since there are not many and not even people in korea can seem to get their hands on them yet.

The 6spd trany from the V6 Tib will not fit the Beta.

i wonder because i have seen the new 2004 Tibbys with 5 speed tranys and not the 6 Speed tranys. Or do you guy that think i would have to custom build one from my 5 speed.

You have seen where people have swapped the 5spd for a 6spd on the beta?
I have yet to hear of anyone doing this and all the info I have seen says it won't fit.

I wouldn't think it would fit either being it's from delta motor but hey if you prove us wrong you'll be teaching us all something

Look here. Read through about 3/4 of the first page.

According to webtech, the 04 has the same bolt pattern.

That car has a V6 in it, sure the trany will bolt up to the car, but it won't match up the i4 in the Elantra.

Basically, the easiest way to get a 6spd in the Elantra at this point isto swap the V6 in with it. LOL

yeah the 5spd and 6spd for the v6 are different then the 5spd for the beta II :smiley_ac
