For the Elantra. Although I am not sure if anyone on this site paid the price they have listed.

Horse-power per LOONIE.
I'd gather that's a Canadian list... the Loonie is the name of our 1 dollar coin. What's it worth right now, about 68 cents American.

Why do you Americans never catch on with car prices?! :stupid:
If it seems like too much money, check and see if it's in Canadian dollars!
I notice a serious lack of Hondas on that list by the way!

EDIT: They must have made this list before the 2005 Spectra was available because it would make 3rd place. I just found this pic of the Spectra5, wagons are cool... not in yellow though, black or gunmetal please!

Guys, you know it's off the XD chassis and has the Beta with CVVT right? It's basically a better looking Elantra (that's right, I said it).
I wonder if there will be a 2006 Elantra wagon? The 2005 Spectra5 is the chassis the 2006 Elantra will use.

Anyway, did anyone notice the other top 10 hp-to-loonie lists? The Dodge Ram 1500 is king! $81 per hp, The Elantra is near $116.

a bit off topic but a bit not i guess:
paid 18K for my elantra gt . . . got it the day it came on the lot . . it had just gotten off the delivery truck, the salesman knew very very little on it. if anything at all. he told me he hadnt had the meeting for it yet . . . i guess he meant the training course on selling it or whatever. i believe the sticker said 18,750 if im not mistaken. . . total with finance charges . . . . i think is gonna be 25-28K . . . but im gonna start paying more per month pretty soon so as to be financing overall less money. but yeah ,. . . i was the first one to have one here in miami i think . . . at least in that dealer ship. according to the guys there. i didnt see ANYONE with an elantra gt for a loooooooong time
i got it in july of 2001 i believe. which makes me think that wasnt too early cause wouldnt they have come out like late late late 2000(to the showroom floor) for the next year?
