Article from Gizmodo about it.

http://gizmodo.com/5452540/youtube-to-live+stream-sports-with-multicamhowzat

Although I'm hearing that it won't be available in the US. Not sure yet though.

Yeah, so it looks like it won't be available in the US because another company, WillowTV, already holds the internet viewing rights. That's crappy (ok for me though as I buy the WillowTV service). You Canadians should be able to watch it though.

Just found out that New Zealand and Sri Lanka will be playing 3 T20I matches at the cricket ground in Florida in May. T20 is the short format of the game lasting a couple hours.

I have to get down there for one of these. No firm dates have been set yet though. Time to get to Lauderhill.

Season 3 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) starts tomorrow morning. Yessssss!

It might be available on YouTube (first yes, then no, now maybe yes) in the US. Canadians should definitely be able to view (finally something that Canada can celebrate if that's the case). Starts in just under 12 hours.

My wife would tell you the problem is that I can enjoy all sports (mostly team sports I'd say though).

Well yeah, it's not available to USers. That sucks. Oh well, I can watch anyway.

I want to try to learn about cricket. Is there a 1-day match on this weekend? I feel hat I need to watch cricket "live" (as opposed to recaps) to better understand the sport. Did they ever make a cricket game for the 360?

Qyn, there will be 4 T20 (3ish hour) matches on this weekend that you can watch via YouTube. They'll be on at 7:00AM and 10:30AM EST on Saturday and Sunday. Or you could simply watch a full replay of any of the matches from the IPL that have happened thus far. Match 22 from today was a good one to learn some things I think and was pretty exciting. It's not up on the YouTube channel yet but it will be later tonight. http://www.youtube.com/ipl

Or, starting at 6:00PM EST tonight there is some traditional Test Match (5-day) cricket on in NZ. Australia vs New Zealand, but I can guarantee you'll find it boring and it's not as easily accessible online (you can find free streams, but it's not always easy and they aren't always very good).

The YouTube IPL link in my previous post. Right now today's match hasn't been uploaded, but it should be up sometime tonight. If you don't want to wait I'd watch Match 7, that was a pretty exciting one.

A pretty good professional documentary about "Cricket in America" is available to watch online.

I was the first ICC approved international cricket matches in the history of cricket this weekend near Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It was great. Things are looking up.

So apparently ESPN on Xbox actually cares about Cricket. In an attempt to understand the game I am currently watching the only thing under the search: Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe. So far all I can understand is that there was a coin toss and everyone likes to wear hats...

ESPN on xbox? I'm confused.

You are probably watching the Bang vs Zim ODI that was on last night (it was shown live on www.espn3.com last night, I watched a bit before bed). These are two of the weaker top 12 teams in the world with both teams improving as of late and the match turned out to be pretty good in the end. I'm not sure you are going to watch all 8 hours though, are you? If you can, I'd skip to the second innings (Bangladesh batting) around the 40th over which will leave you with about 40 minutes or so to watch.

PS- I really want an Elton Chigumbura jersey.

More importantly right now there is the 3rd test of the West Indies vs Sri Lanka Test series and the second Ashes (England vs Australia) Test starts tomorrow.

Now I see what you are talking about. I just noticed the ESPN thing on xbox live. This is awesome. First time I'm watching live cricket on my TV that isn't hooked up through the computer which means the quality is much much better.

I don't even have to click on the link to know what you are talking about.

Explaining a match that ends regularly would be hard enough, even most cricket fans don't understand the Duckworth Lewis system fully.

I actually watched the end of that match yesterday, it was pretty comical.
i was there in Guyana watching that game...sooooo pityful....and i was there also to watch the second ODI in which WI beat England
had alot of fun in the stands for those 2 games...i went with my cousins, they brought rum and food into the ball park.... :)
Chanderpaul (my favourite player) made a century in the second game, they named a street after him in the capital city in Guyana (Georgetown)

Awesome!

Yeah, celicabai, I have to subscribe to WillowTV in order to get my cricket fix. It's nice that ESPN is grabbing some of the matches while they can.

That's awesome that you were recently in Guyana and got to watch some cricket.

I didn't post it in this thread, but in May I went down to Florida to watch the SL/NZ T20 series. That was awesome, especially being one of the few white Americans there!

Can't wait to get to watch some cricket elsewhere.

PS- About the Ashes, I hate that England are ahead 1-0 and look so much better than the Australians. Hopefully things will change in Perth, but, looking at the team selection I'm not so sure.
