Changing a way overdue fuel filter creates a noticeable difference.
My dealer charged me 23.92 Why are the dealers all over the place when it comes to prices?I just did this today at the shop, took me 45min. i had 84k on the fuel filter on my 01 and after replacing it and driving it out the car feels like its running so much smoother, like i gained some hp back. i got the filter from the dealership for 27.15 after tax and discount.
also there's a hazmat disposal fee. im pretty sure fuel filters would fall into that category like oil filters?different taxes and trying to make profit off of parts is my guess. service isnt free you know. Especially for the dealership.
I just put my old one on a shelf in my shed. In a few years when the 'rents move I'll likely drop it off somewhere.also there's a hazmat disposal fee. im pretty sure fuel filters would fall into that category like oil filters?![]()
I found out that this is the Fuel Pump Filter, the Hyundai part number is 31090-2D050 it cost me $8.52 plus tax. Will be changing my old one in a week or so.I'm changing my fuel filter today, and noticed that under the filter there is some sort of filtering bag that has some sediment inside of it. Do I need to change this out? and if so how do I remove it and what is it called so I can buy a new one (a part number would be even better)...
change dealer, they are trying to ripp you off, you CAN buy the filter appart from the fuel pump assembly!!!Why does every parts store not have the fuel filter, and why is the dealer forcing you to buy the entire pump and not JUST REPLACE the filter only??
