Hi, friend of mine who have XD as well told me the transmission on the 2.0 Elantra is the same one as the Sonata EF one. Is that true ? . I can't find any information about this or what so ever and I don't know even if my 1.6 got the same tranny as well or maybe another model ..

I found something and its seems like its two separate models, the one my car have is A4AF3 45000 but i can't find what in 2.0 one.

sonatas had a 2.4 so I don't believe so USA had no 1.6l on the xd

Very right indeed.

After digging the net I found the transmission on the XD 2.0 is made by Mitsubishi and used on older models like Galant but i'cant be sure about that because all the info was in Russian some what.
