Is it common for front brake lines to go bad where they come thru inner fender out to wheel wells on 2004 elantra? Also is there any warranty left on a 2004 if I am not original owner?

It is not common and no, there is no warranty left on a 2004 Elantra. The warranty is ten years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.
