the rotor probably has some slight warpage or uneven deposits, either of which is pretty normal after a while. if you change out the pads, also make sure you either resurface the rotors or replace them.

make sure none of the brake caliper bolts are seized, because it may cause uneven wear and a lot of noise. can also be a warped rotor...i suggest buying some AIMCO rotors from autozone...they are cheap and MUCH better than OEM rotors.

...and lube your slider bolts while you're at it...

...also put anti seize on your rotor index screw...

...might as well inspect your cv boots while you're under there...
