VIN numbers can contain information on options etc. Does Hyundai do this and how do I read the VIN for coded info.
From other posts I gather my 2004 is an XD2 and that has nothing to do with the designations GL, GLS, etc. Is that right?

You can't link to there since you have to log in. However, was it a big diagram that lays it out better than the text I posted? That's what I was looking for. Can you save the picture then post it? Or tell me how you found it?

I've got it saved in my computer but can't get the image transfered into this forum.
Any ideas?
Otherwise it can be found by registering in at Hyundai and look under Elantra XD "General Info/TSBs".
