I Changed Timing belt

Hi. Just got back from the dealership. I replaced timing belt and tension.
All took around 1 hour and half and cost 350$ with labor.
The mechanic that worked on my car said to me: '' But does this car worth all the investment you did on it'' .. That not surprise me cause people here look at cars in that age like they pile of junk. Most of Israeli wants only new cars even most of them can't buy one so they lease them and replace them after 3 years.

It's worth the money if it's worth it to you. Every dollar I have spent is worth it. Some people take into account the resale value versus the money put in and don't think it's worth it. I have explained many times to people that I don't care what the resale value is on either of my cars. I do not plan on selling them. Ever.

Same here!
People can think about the resale value about every little thing they changed in car... Sometimes its made me nuts. I also keep cars for years.
Same here. I tend to get attached to things, certain things, and I am definitely attached to both of my cars and won't sell them to anyone.

And also I think new cars have fugly design.. they all looks the same with the sharp looking headlights and huge wheels .
Yes they do. I am not even a fan of the new Elantra's. They look to similar to other cars. Fords, Hyundai, Toyota and a few others look so similar.

Yeah they are. And interior is like VW.
And I think Sonata lose the all magic she's had .
My current car is 3 different colors, burns some oil, has a leaky clutch slave cylinder, and no drivers door handle. Most people would think when I get my XD2 running that I would just junk my Cougar. No effing way, I'm already looking at how to rebuild it in the spring and bring it back to some form of glory once again!!
Wait, which car are you describing? The Cougar or XD2?
My Cougar is the one looking quite neglected. Hoping to get the XD2 going next month so I can do some more in depth work on the Cougar to repair the rodent-damaged dash wiring which is my biggest issue.
Show us how its looks like
Best shot I've got of how it looks lately.

lol. My 83 Caprice used to look like that, multi colored. I got stopped by the police many times when I drove home.
hey don't know if you noticed but there is some guy in your cars picture.....lol
lol. It's nice knowing what people look like on here. I only know what Elantra2005, Sonic, and I think KDMods from one of his videos looks like. And Jess, but I don't see her around.

These always remind me Tiburon for some reason .
The headlights look similar to the 07-08 Tiburon headlights.
