Well guys, it's been a blast. I can't thank everyone enough for the ideas and inspiration that the members of this site provided when I wanted to mod my XD. Now the time has come for a change.

I will soon be trading in my Elantra for an '04 Mazda 3, hatch of course. In the unlikely even that deal falls through, I'll be getting another '04 Pontiac Vibe. Yes I have one already, but it's my wife's and it's a base model. Plus I'd of course be getting the GT version w/ 180hp supercharger.

On the slim chance anyone in the ATL area wants to buy my XD instead of forcing me to trade it in and lose money, I'm all for that so let me know before Saturday morning. ;)

I'll still be hanging out here from time to time, but if you need me I'll be at http://www.genvibe.com and http://www.mazda3forums.com. Or of course e-mail me, rixation[at]hotmail.com.
So, hasta lasagna everyone.

Sad to see another Hyundai owner go, it is a sad fact that Hyundai needs some help in the engine dept, all these new cars w/factory SC, Turbo, etc...

Hyundai needs to step up, the Theta should be a good thing for them, and with the cooperation with Mitsu on it Hyundai should borrow the Evo (9) technology. And drop it in a Hyundai model.

Rix, as always, you rock. Good choice on the car btw. ;) Not sure if Focaljet has gotten their Mazda 3 Forums up but one of those might be it. :) Have fun with that car; I heard it's a blast. God bless man.

Thanks everyone. After much consideration, and visiting 6 total Mazda dealerships....test drove the 3 S sedan and wagon models twice each...I decided that was a no. I honestly didn't like the feel of it, and it didn't seem to have much power even at the 160hp 2.3l level. With that said, I am now the proud owner of a 2003 Pontiac Aztek, liquid gray. It was a manager's demo car for 4k miles, but it's still brand new of course. Fully loaded with sunroof, power seats, mirrors, windows, locks...air suspension with outlet to refill your tires or a beach ball, etc...17" alloys...and the same lifetime free oil changes that I have on my Vibe which I abuse at 2000 mile intervals....for $6021 under invoice (after 4 hours of me saying, "No, my payments are going to be this and my interest rate is going to be this). My payments are only $5 more a month than my Elantra for a car that's sticker price was $27000. I've driven it a little over 300 miles so far, and gas mileage is at about 23 (mixed hwy and city), so not that bad for a 185hp 3.4l beast. ;)

I don't have a digital camera, but I'll try to get pics up eventually for y'all.

You guys are harsh. :smiley_ac
I know a lot of people don't like the look of the Vibe or the Aztek, but they're selling, and this is the 3rd year of production for both cars so GM must be doing something right. Don't knock it until you've ridden in one and seen the obscene amount of features, plus read through the 4-5 forums for each car (like genvibe.com, matrixvibe.net, and aztekfanclub.com). Besides, there's more aftermarket support for these 2 cars than all of the Hyundai family will ever see combined.

I hated the look of the Aztek back in 2001 too...it grows on you, really. That's what everyone's said, especially Tek owners. To each their own I suppose. Just remember, I supported the Elantra for 3 years and drove that car into the ground. It needed $1200 worth of work (exterior and engine) due to everyday driving like a bat out of hell. We'll see how my Pontiac's measure up by 2007. ;)
