It's been awhile since I've been an active member... I stop in every once in awhile... but I figured I'd try to buff my subscribers up on Youtube...

If anyone is interested I'm a subscriber to "Loot Crate", "Horror Block", and now "Arcade Block"...

I record my unboxing, plus I review a new beer every time... So if you're a nerd, gamer, or craft beer drinker, you may enjoy my videos...

Good to see an old member checking-in. I guess this is an appropriate place to do a status update myself.

The Elantra has been gone since 2010 when I bought my Equator Sport.
Just sold the 2003 Tiburon GT last Friday. Had it 2 years, bought it beat-up and put it all back together. Now some 18 year old's pride and joy.
Still rolling the 2004 Santa Fe GLS.

Going to go look at a 2004 Saab 9-3 Arc in about 3 hours. Looked at a 2001 Volvo S60 T5 last weekend, but it was a timebomb. I decided why not by a 10 year old European car, that's unreliable, hard to find parts for, impossible to work on without a dealer/hacked computer, and expensive to maintain. What could go wrong?

I'm actually looking to trade our Cherokee for a Wrangler today... hopefully it all goes well... My wife will be stoked, and I'll be fixing lol...

Now, we own a 98' Sport Wrangler instead of the 2000 Cherokee lol...

I've been considering a 2012+ (the new engine) Wrangler Unlimited to replace my wife's Santa Fe. I don't want to pay the price they want for them, however.

Last Friday I acquired this 2004 Saab 9-3 Arc. Turbo is fun, I must admit.

Yeah, they look neat and are fun to drive, but owning one is a pain in the ***. Everything is overly complicated and electronic for the sake of being overly complicated and electronic. You can't even replace a window switch without a computer reprogram to identify the new part. Remove the radio - no, not allowed. Car won't work right without it. If you want an aftermarket headunit you basically have to install an all-new system and wiring, and leave the original hooked up and turned off. It is not a mod-friendly car in that aspect. It is mod-friendly under the hood though. A simple tune can yield 40-50hp gain, with no parts changed.

"To counter thefts and chopshops" is the reason they give, in reality it was probably to force more people into dealer-only service. New key? That's $60 for the fob, $50 for the laser-cut piece, and $100 (or more) for programming. Knowing what I was getting into, it doesn't bother me that much - especially with it being a 3rd car/toy, but if it were a main car or I didn't know about the complications of Saab, I'd be furious.

Oil. They piss and puke oil from everywhere. There are so many "common" oil leak locations that there is no common oil leak location. I'm currently leaning towards the power steering pump for mine - it's not belt driven but bolts directly to the side of the block and is turned by one of the overhead cams. Why? Because Saab.
