North Freeway Hyundai: Houston Texas right off I45 and Rankin road.

Ok, I made a service appointment for today at 2 o the clock. I go there and he says "I gotta make sure it's applicable to your car." Ok cool.

I go sit down; I was expecting something like this, but not what he actually said..
"Well, it only pertains to Elantras, not to GT's."
"Isn't it the same car? I mean, we have the same engines.."
"No, they're totally different; have you ever driven an Elantra? The GT's have allot more get up and go."
"Uh"
"Yea, they are two totally different cars. Different engines and ECU's"
"Eh.."
"Yea, so, it doesn't apply to your car so we can't do it."
"alright.. Uhm, bye then"

Ahahahah I laughed the whole way home.

Isn't it great knowing more that half the people that work for Hyundai?

(I mean, everyone at a dealer should know what engine is in each car, but the point is most people at the dealer are stupid).

Maybe he thought you had a GT Tib? With the Delta? Maybe... giving him the benefit of the doubt.

I would love to think that except he walked up to my car, checked the VIN number through the computer and then told me he couldn't do it. Oh, he also set off my alarm three times trying to open the door. ?? I can't even do that.

Well, my New Rochelle guy didn't even know about it. and he still argues that there is no recall on ecu on my car. I said it's not a recall, just a tsb, but he won't believe me. lazy bastard... So i just went to Mt. Kisco, NY and got it done.

I don't know why.My dealer is the complete opposite of that.I think its just some Hyundai dealers suck.I know the KIA dealer down the street lost their franchise from KIA because of that type of shit.Maybe you should call Hyundai corporate and complain. If they get a good amount of complains they will do something

Well, here's my thing. I called my intercompany dealer and their response was that my car did not fall under this recall. Hmm, alright. I didn't quite believe this because my car has the same problem as those cars. So I went on a quest to find my ECU PN. I have a service advisor over at the Champion Hyundai store finding this for me. Any other reccomendations on finding my ECU ID? Where is it even located? I wasn't really worried about the I45 dealer because I hate them anyways; That's why this isn't in flame. It's not a flame, it's just so stupid it's funny. At least to me, anyways.
I thought my new exhaust system helped but the hump is still there. :( Very noticeable; especially if you don't press more on the accelerator to compensate at that point. Just stick your foot halfway down and keep it there; the hump is very pronounced. Here's my question: It is a defect; under warrenty, they should HAVE to fix it, right? Even if there isn't a recall on it.

print out the TSB and take it to them, tell them that you have the same problems with your car as described in the TSB, and you'll be calling corporate if they dont fix it.

I took my car in for the TSB on the window area tape, and they did a shitty job and it will have to be replaced again
