curiosity killed the troy...i went and saw the video. I must say that it makes me a bit disgusted. while I understand that those people should be killed, along with their sons (obviously the son will want to avenge the father's death), I wouldnt mind seeing the soldiers who did things such as "interrogating a man to death" and the soldier who raped a girl put to death either. In fact....I think all rapists should be put to death...but thats another story.
The fact of the matter is, war brings out the worst in everyone. Ideally in war, you would probably kill nearly all of the men, and take the women...obviously thats not acceptable, but its the only way to practically fight a war. The whole "who's good, who's bad" game is not what the military was designed for. Militaries are trained to kill, and if they dont kill, to get information, no matter the cost. and in a sense, they were doing their job by demoralizing the prisoners.
I also am well aware that the same type of prisoner treatment occurs in American prisons and should come as no suprise.
...either way its fucked up.
I love poitics, I always end up thinking myself in circles. Looks like the only fix is a genocide of about 7,000,000,000 people. :conf: (it was the best smiley I could come up with after saying that)
