I know you guys love to search EXD every 0.24 seconds so I was wondering if you guys would like it if I added a Google Search function (in addition to the regular site search)?

This would allow you to search over and over again without problems.

However, integration would probably mean that it's only on the forum homepage. I will look into what I can do about that.

So, is that something you guys would like?

or would this be something special for onsite use only? or just general web searching?

I think if it's only on the home page, you're still gonna have people too lazy to search, and may be a waste of time.

Pete, it would be just for searching EXD. I agree that adding another search bar for the entire internet isn't worth the space.

And I think I have a way to have the Google Search bar show up in all of the places the normal search bar is located.

Correct. Although the current search is much more powerful and has more options, a lot of people are comfortable with the keyword searching that Google offers.

The current search would not be replaced. The time limit is strongly suggested to in order to keep load on the server low. In addition, there are some search spambots out there could exploit it.
