apparently when i get bored and cant sleep this is what i do now. anyway, im just getting started here at elantraXD, and my new 2011 Elantra GLS is an upgrade from a 2001 Accent GS for me, so im obnoxiously entertained with it. ive wanted an Elantra for years, this is my first.

i fell in love with the black and tan soon as i saw it. may get a factory look spoiler some time in the future...kinda want to see it in person before i commit to that plan though. in the mean time, just a pretty car im sharing in my boredom.

They do look great in black, but it's so hard to keep clean! I like that the GLS has alloy wheels in the new releases. Do you mind if I ask how much you got her for?

The base model GLS still comes with hubcaps. Looks like he has a GLS with the Popular Equipment Package (that 95% of GLSs will have from Montgomery because they include AC, CC and the alloys).

Looking good! I'm sure the Koreans have a variety of spoilers available or becoming available soon. I'll see if I can find any.

EDIT- Yeah, it looks like Shark Racing has some stuff. Keep in mind that sometimes SR has really bad service, communication, and shipping times. I would email to check availability before buying.

yea it was about $18,5 for what i got, it has the ac, cruise, alloys, bluetooth & xm, and the auto shiftronic transmission. i love it. also, point taken on keeping it clean, but when you wash it it just pops.

I have a black gls as well and LOVE IT!!! Except mines manual, but if you think the car pops now i took off the chrome elantra on the trunk and man does it look clean. cant wait to get a tint!!!

I bought a black limited with the black interior. I'm getting it tinted this coming weekend, and then might look for a few other cosmetic mods for it soon as well.

In the 2 months I've had it, I've had to wash it 5 times already, just from all the salt that PennDOT loves to throw on the roads at the slightest hint of rain in wintertime.

I've also been on the lookout for any other 2011 Elantras, and have yet to see a single one on the roads. I've become really good at spotting the differences between the 2011 Sonata and the Elantra though!

they need a set of lowering springs and some nice flush wheels.

do they have a lip in the back? or is it just flat like the coupes? the older xd's we have to roll the fender to get anything close to being flush

Here Guys-

Just got my black Elantra tinted. Got it this past Thursday and got it tinted on Saturday. It is sort of necessary down here in South Florida. Let me know what you think.

I believe it was 40%. It makes a huge difference when driving in the sun though.
