Short Shifter & Bushings
So I wanted to get a short shifter for my XD. I liked the one from TWM performance but maybe its too pricey has anyone got any idea to get short shifters from & as for bushings I wanna replace all of them possible... Are the one from TWM good??

I compared the Ralco and the factory shifter and the leverage point is def lower than the factory shifter. It is 100% a short throw shifter and I also didn't buy it off eBay. You don't need a brand name for quality. It came with everything needed to install and fit perfectly. Wouldn't hesitate to buy one again.

I did NOT see this one at all on eBay while perusing. Hopefully the one I've ordered is as good!Here is the same one I purchased its not a branded short shifter but it feels really nice

Yes, I had to replace the shifter box on my elantra a few years back because I broke it, and replaced it with the accent one from a junkyard, and that shifter will fit the elantra 01-06 and tiburon 5 speed 4cyl

Installed the short shifter from China today (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/321833560350?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT)
Make sure, if your car has that kind of spring that re-centres the shifter, that you pay attention to how it goes on.
Lock washer was a bit of a pain, but what I did was use a very small flat-head screwdriver and hammer, hammered in to move it along on the pin enough to fit a large flat-head screwdriver between the plastic and the washer, then twisted the screwdriver whilst moving it along around the washer in order to move it off the pin.
Very easy to not damage the washer.
The good thing is that this kit comes with a SPARE lock washer (or two, don't know what the second one was for, nor do I know what the rubber grommet is for). So if you do break it, then you still have that as backup.
Use plenty of grease on any moving parts. Reassemble. Done.
The nylon caps that come on the new shifter cannot be used. Reuse the old ones. I had to use my pliers in order to pull the old ones off. To put them onto the new shifter, I actually hammered them on by placing them hole-up on the ground, then hammering the shifter down onto them. I found the bottom nylon cap is a bit stiff. I used a deburring tool on the side cap to put it on more easily (tool's for copper pipe, etc...), perhaps I should have done the same for the bottom cap... Too late now!
The short shifter works excellently. I didn't measure the travel distance before the install, but it definitely does feel a lot shorter. I think their claim of 40% reduction in throw is fair. It seems "stiffer" or more "exact." I dare say: it's "quicker".
The knob that came with it is OK. Some might appreciate it; it lasted about 20 minutes on there and I've reverted to the stock knob, which actually seems to make it shorter, though I haven't measured.
Also, one thing to point out is that my stock shifter has an angle to it, which makes it "centred" when it's in neutral, 3rd and 4th gears. This is not the case with this shifter, as it's straight, so it looks out of alignment. It misses the handbrake when you put it into reverse though, so no worries.
I'll assume this is the case for North American models as well.
All in all I'm really happy with it though; I was changing gears just to change gears on the last few drives. Heaps more fun!
