Have a red 04GT but it has the black side molding as well as front and rear bumper inserts. Has anyone taken these out and painted them the body color ? Will GLS moldings fit ?

Also, the H on the rear deck lid is chrome. I'm thinking about painting it black. Since it's inlaid into the deck it looks like a problem to get out. Anyone been able to get thiers out without breaking it ? Is it just glued in ?

There is a couple people who painted the side molding. I'm pretty sure the GLS molding will fit, but keep in mind there is only side molding on the GLS, and none on the front and back bumper.

the gls molding will fit but you would have to paint them anyway if you bought them. I had my moldings painted. Its easy to take them out. they are only held on by clips to the door and bumpers. The rear H emblem should come off if you heat it up with a hair dryer that will losen the adhesive and you can pull it right off....i painted my h emblems too!

Would I have to take the door panels off or is it something that can be done from the outside only ?

You might be able to get them off without removing the door panel...the 1 slight problem is that you might break the clips if its too tough to get them off. If you remove the door panel they come off easier! Try it and see how it goes.
