Strut bars

Now I know this has been beaten to death, I have looked through all the threads concerning this. But I want a general consensus from anyone here. Which of these two are better? For the Shark Racing, I am only concerned with the front struts for now.

Some of the other strut bars mentioned in the old forums don't seem to be made anymore and all the threads said to stay away from Evofusion. So, which of the two are the best?

And I do have cruise control.

Re: Struts.

the second is the better due to no pivot points.
Re: Struts.

Okay, cool, I will look into getting that. Do you know if that clears the cruise control? And it's simple install right? Just take off three bolts on each side, put this on, then put the bolts back on right?
Re: Struts.

looking like it should not interfere with cc, yup 3 bolts on each side.
aside from the way it mounts it looks just like the rrm one i have and i had no issues.
Re: Struts.

Did you notice a big difference when you installed them? I don't race or anything. My car is a daily driver so would I notice a difference?
Re: Struts.

Yes it makes a difference I have mines on & its a daily
Re: Struts.

between the front and rear bars and tibby sway bar and my 17's she handles good, once i do my kyb struts and lowering springs she should handle like a gokart.
Re: Struts.

What songee said, but songee what bar did you use for the rear.??

LOL. I didn't know you had anything left to do. I just assumed you had been done for years. However, I keep thinking I am about done then I find something else I want to do then I do that. Then another thing, and another. It just doesn't end. Maybe it's an addiction. haha.

Yes, which one did you use?
Re: Struts.

I highly suggest if you have the gt you put the rear strut brace and the mid cabin brace... The mid cabin goes behind the front seats and it works really well... I noticed a substantial difference in cornering...

Stops a lot of frame twist...

Lol. That's got to be a joke.
It comes with the shark racing 3 piece gt set... It works really well... Seriously
The mid-brace is the absolute last thing you need to do for this car, in terms of handling impact. That single bar is more of a placebo. Something like this: http://corksport.com/corksport-mazda-3-mazdaspeed-3-chassis-brace.html would be what you want if you actually needed to rigidify the center of the chassis. The weak part of the XD is not chassis flex, as much as it is the soft econobox suspension needs to be firmer.

Here's a list in order of impact on the car:
1. Rear Sway bar & Polyurethane Sway bar bushings
2. Springs/coilovers
3. Front Strut bar
4. Rear Strut bar, if hatchback (this could move ahead of #3, not sure since I only ever had the sedan).

x force multiplier of better tires.
i have the shark one, in the sedan its not a must have due to the rear shelf.
Why I dont get why it wpuldnt do anything for the rear
you have the metal rear shelf that ties into the rear end, hatch you don't its just open space.
But it wouldnt hurt to have it in the rear tho right
not going to hurt, just the wallet.
It wouldnt hurt the wallet lol I could always sell it retail lol
