Hey All,

Call me stupid, but I left my car keys at the office and ran into a problem with the spare remote unit. The spare unit does not work. My question is this is there a way to disable the factory alarm so I can start the car without any problem? I was able to get my keys, but was wondering if it possible in case if it happens again.

Thanks for your input.

there is no way to "disable" the stock alarm, but there is a way to shut it off without the remote. you have to unlock the car manually, listen to the siren, and put the key in the ignition to the "on" position for 30 seconds, and the alarm will shut off.

once the alarm is off, it will stay off until it is armed with the remote. meaning, you can just use the keys to manually lock/unlock the car and never have to worry about the alarm arming. it ONLY arms with the remote.
