Greetings gents. My wife came home the other day and there was a puddle of coolant under the car. The radiator had separated between the plastic and the metal, so with the help of this site I replaced the radiator and the thermostat. Now when the car runs, the temperature gauge will get to about the middle and coolant will start leaking out the overflow tank. The overflow tank will be filled to low and I will top off the radiator, and then the same thing will happen.

So...could it possibly just be the radiator cap has gone bad?

Or maybe it could be the water pump? Every time I have seen a water pump go bad, it is usually leaking there pretty noticeably.

Well, I changed the cap and it seems to have done the trick (for now). Crazy. I forgot to mention before that the heater wasn't getting hot either and it is now. I should have just changed the cap when I did the radiator but I didn't think about getting one at that time. Crazy.
