According to the owner's manual, the recommended spark plugs by the manufacturer are
1. Champion platinum RC10PYP4 or
2. NGK platinum PFR5N-11.

I searched on line and called some local stores and they don't have such spark plugs. They recommend different types of spark plugs for '03 gls.
Did they change the types of spark plugs?

Thanks so much Strizay. Are the NGK plugs better than Champion? The NGK is double the price of Champion.

I think most of us on here prefer NGK, not sure why, I just follow everyone else. LOL

Some people here prefer NGK iridium even though the manufacture recommends platinum. Why is that?

NGK iridium or platinum are recommended as said on the owners manual

No, my 2003 owner's manual doesn't recommend iridium. Maybe it is different for different model year.

I think maybe because iridium lasts longer. Copper are still the best, but they don't last as long.

Basically all spark plugs are made of copper. Only difference is on the tip of the electrode. Platinum and Iridium are precious metal and they cannot sell real iridium or platinum plugs for $10.

I cant remember but im sure its one of those & I know we can you denso & bosch but I wouldnt recommend denso since it looks knock off
