Ok, little bit of background. My XD is an ‘03 GT Sedan. The previous owner blew a timing belt and had the engine replaced. I have the paperwork on the engine swap/mileage but it doesn’t say what year the engine is from.

I’m assuming that there were slight differences between the years and there is what looks like a sensor in the front below the valve cover on the right side next to the coolant hose that isn’t plugged into anything. To me it looks like a coolant temp sensor but my temp reads fine and I have no check engine lights for anything.

I was talking about this one, I should have circled it in the first place. The solenoid is the one above it, from what I’ve gathered it might be the oil temp sensor? I’m waiting on my new scanner to come in to verify that the oil temp doesn’t read anything. Nothing runs out of the ordinary, it’s just curiosity more than anything

Well I figured it out, it must be in a different spot on different years because there’s nowhere near it to plug it in
