I'm thinking of mounting some 205/40/18 tires on 18X8 wheels (+42 offset) I'm looking for some input on whether or not i will have rubbing issues. The suspension is all stock. (sorry if this shows up a few times, i'm having some troubles posting)

offset should be fine. tire size is what you might have issues with. Not sure with an 8 inch wheel.

18s are a bit too much for the XD, but 205/40/18 will be about 1/2" taller than stock. A 205 tire on an 8" wide wheel will look anemic. You want to make a statement? Give 225/35/18 a try (0.2" taller than stock). Either way, the probability of rubbing will be high.

DJ Hellfire had 18's on his xd for a looooong time without issues.and his car was on springtechs. I had 18's on my accent with 215 40's on it and it didn't rub at all. but the wheels were heavy as hell and made the 1.5 a lot slower than it already was. lol.

I would have tried the 225/35/18, but 18s are too heavy for small cars.
